Instagram Stars: 7 Texas Latino Foodies You Must Follow

Go check your Instagram. It’s ok, I’ll wait. If it’s lacking a little flavor, I’ve got just the recipe. These seven cooks, chefs, bakers and cocktail makers are among the best of Instagram’s best Texas Latino foodies. Whether you are in the mood for some of the state’s best tacos, a fresh vegan delight, or a dessert too delicious to be guilty, this crew has it all.
Sweet Life Bake
I either want to eat everything that Tejana blogger Vianney Rodriguez of Sweet Life Bake posts, or I want to drink it. On this fabulous account, you’ll find anything from killer desserts to Tex-Mex favorites, to her signature cocktails. She’s such an expert, that she and fellow top-food blogger Yvette of Muy Bueno Cookbook (see below) published Latin Twist, a cocktail cookbook.
Tacos of Texas
Get ready to have some serious life envy. Taco journalists Mando Rayo and Jarod Neece – the authors of Austin Breakfast Tacos – recently travelled across the Lone star State tasting the best tacos they could find. While the world awaits their next book, we’ll all have to get our fix via their Instagram.
En Mi Cocina Hoy
I’ve never been to Chile, but I am very knowledgeable about their delicious-looking cuisine. That’s thanks to Pilar Hernandez, the incredible talent behind Chilean food blog En Mi Cocina Hoy. Give your Instagram feed a taste of South America and follow her immediately.
Pilloncillo y Vainilla
AKA BrownSugar and Vanilla, the bilingual blog is the creation of Alejandra Graf a vegan cook, who cooks and eats clean. Get a glimpse of her healthy and mouth-watering dishes and a peek into her life.
Cocina Marie
A true food artist, Marie Saba’s instagram account and blog Cocina Marie make good food look fun. While not exclusively devoted to Latin food, she does have some great Mexican dishes, and her blog’s name is an homage to her part-Mexican heritage.
From Brazil to You
If From Brazil to You’s Instagram account is anything to go by, Brazilians really know how to live. Through gorgeous photography, blogger Denise Browning gives her followers a taste of her native Brazil and whets our appetites for her next post.
Muy Bueno Cookbook
While she now lives in Colorado, Yvette Marquez-Sharpnack was born and raised in El Paso, so I’d still say she’s a Tejana. One of the authors behind Latin Twist, and the family cookbook Muy Bueno Cookbook, Yvette’s Instagram not only inspires you to take a page not only from her beautiful books but from her life as well.
